Tad Cusack grew up in west Houston and spent most every weekend at the family ranch in Gonzales County. Here, he helped his family manage the property, gathering a fond appreciation for the land that has been owned by his family for over 100 years. In 1984, Tad moved to Austin for college, and never looked back! That same year, his family also left Houston, and lived in the Hill Country outside of Kerrville for 14 years, until they moved to their present home outside of Wimberley.

In 1988, Tad became a Texas REALTOR®, and in 1997 and 1998, was privileged to work with Jody and Jeff at Habitat Hunters, until moving to Vail, CO area for a decade. While in CO, Tad worked for Starwood Hotel and Resorts Worldwide in fractional Real Estate sales, and also he had the opportunity to purchase, remodel and sell two homes, and still has a condo in the community of Arrowhead, CO.

Now, back in Texas, full time, Tad is excited to be back working with Jody and Jeff once again! Brainstorming brought about a branch office location of Habitat Hunters right on the square in San Marcos, the place where Tad has always wanted to return. Tad and his team are very excited to tap into the great Real Estate opportunities the area has to offer, and expand the Habitat Hunters team southward from Buda to New Braunfels.

Tad is excited to be enjoying all that the central Texas lifestyle has to offer including hunting, golf, motorsports, and hanging out at the ranch again. His Labradors, Pearl and Mick, are his best friends, and he spends a lot of time training them, while receiving lots of love back in return. One of his most valued accomplishments outside the professional world was his two year run of racing the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb on a motorcycle. After earning 2nd place in the Supermoto class and then receiving the honor of Rookie of the Year in 2006, and pole position in 2007 he decided that life-long dream was fulfilled…and then some. His love for all things fast is still alive and well.

“Never having met a stranger”, Tad looks forward to specializing in apartment locating to students in San Marcos attending Texas State University, plus helping clients with any other residential or commercial sales or leasing needs.
