Raised as an "army brat" and living in many homes as a child, Anita lived in Puerto Rico for 9 years. After high school graduation, she worked and attended classes at Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, New York, before moving to Austin short of graduation in 1975.
For the next 22 years, Anita worked in film and television production. Always looking for a challenge, she worked her way up from an "on the job trainee" for the PBS station in Austin to Art Director for many industrial films and commercials.
After several years in Dallas, Anita returned to Austin in 1996. After careful consideration, she realized that she loved real estate. Her family goes W A Y back in the industry - her father was owner/broker of Burt E. Dallas Realty in Austin for several years until his death in 1976, and her paternal grandmother was a real estate agent in Atlanta, Georgia using a horse and buggy to show properties! Anita recognized it was in her blood.
Born in Miami, Anita has lived in Florida, Georgia, Alabama, Taiwan, Puerto Rico, Connecticut, New York City, San Antonio, and Dallas, and has traveled through Mexico, Costa Rica, Peru, Chile, Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands. Anita is also happy to tell you about her hiking in and out of the Grand Canyon, into the Painted Desert in Arizona, and the Chisos Mountains of Big Bend! She counts viewing the total solar eclipse of 1979 as one of her most memorable experiences. Anita is well versed in many cultures and speaks fluent Spanish.
You can rely on Anita to find the perfect property for you. Whether you are looking for a home in Great Hills, a condo near UT, a lake home, a fixer-upper in an up and coming area, a new home or a rental, Anita would love to help you enjoy the experience as much as she does.
Buying, selling, renting … it can be easy and fun - let Anita show you how!
