“When I was moving to Austin from Connecticut this past May, I only had one weekend in which to find a place and sign a lease. I had looked into some of the apartment locating services, but I did not like how they only wanted to show me big apartment complexes so that they could get a big commission. I had heard about Habitat Hunters here on Yelp, so I checked out their site, and I loved their MLS search. I was matched with Elaine Dodd, and I set up an appointment to meet with her while I was in town. I got lost driving into town (but the receptionist at Habitat Hunters was so sweet and helped direct me) and ended up being a little late, but Elaine did not mind at all. She already had some property sheets printed out based on what I had told her I was looking for, and we also looked up some that I had found online myself. We made a plan for what properties we wanted to see first and broke them into areas. Elaine was AWESOME at describing the different areas as we drove through them and telling my mom and I about all the cool things to do in Austin. She literally worked with me for at least the majority of each day that whole weekend. She is so much fun, and I had a complete blast with her AND she found me the PERFECT apartment in a small complex. She is a licensed realtor, she can show you all the places that apartment locators cannot (houses, duplexes, townhouses, condos, fourplexes, etc.). She also helped me with all of the paperwork of signing the lease and even sending it to my fiancé who was still up in Connecticut, so he could sign. I would recommend her to anyone and everyone, and I will def. be using her the next time I need to rent or buy property.”
